WEDDING AT VOLO RESTAURANT

Wedding at Volo Restaurant

Sheila and Brian had their wedding at Volo Restaurant and Wine Bar and exchanged vows surrounded by a close group of friends and family. The restaurant, nestled in Roscoe Village,  has an outdoor secluded brick paved patio with a charming intimate atmosphere. Chef Jon Young and Stephen Dunne at Volo can cater perfect tailored menus and treat the wedding guests with the same attention of a small party. For Sheila and Brian, it had it all: location, character, outdoor ceremony area and cover in case of adverse weather. And great food and service. The wedding was beautifully coordinated by Erin Daubert at dotted events.

In her own words, Sheila wrote me: ” The dinner portion of our wedding was very unconventional but being able to offer our guests 15 different options was great.  It paid tribute to the fact that we just wanted to have a giant party complete with free flowing drinks and bite-sized foods. The bar was open for the duration of the evening and guests were greeted with real champagne. Our guests seemed to let loose and have a good time!”

I met Sheila a few years ago, therefore I was so happy when she asked me to photograph her wedding. She introduced me to Brian nearly a year before the wedding and together we met at sunrise in Humboldt Park to take their engagement pictures.
