Will was one of the first person I met arriving in Chicago and soon later he started dating Hernan. This was a wedding long time in the making. Finally, this year, they exchange vows, surrended by family and friends, in a memorable Vizcaya museum wedding, in Florida. The villa is a magical place and a visual feast for a photographer. All you need is to just walk through its gates and you will be suspended in time.
The cerimony took place on the garden mound, south of the palace, while the sun was setting down and the harsh light of the day gave way to shades of blue. By the time we took the formals it was dusk and our group walked back to the villa guided only by the reception lights. The terrace was ready to host a memorable party. Set in between the old mansion and the sinking stone bardge, its steps washed by the warm water of the bay, it really felt like being in the Great Gatsby.
VIZCAYA MUSEUM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The historical villa Vizcaya, now a museum, is nested on the Biscay bay and brings together several architectural styles: classic, romantic, colonial and decadent. This property sets the mood for a day away from the rest of the world. And out of time. The italian inspired gardens are enclosed to the south by swamps of mangrove trees and are dotted with neoclassic features such as fountains, columns and winged statues. The curated hedgerows define spaces, let you daydream of a bygone age and create endless opportunities for timeless pictures.
