A PALOMAR HOTEL WEDDING IN CHICAGO
Karine and Mariano celebrated their Palomar hotel wedding in Chicago with an intimate cerimony for a close circle of family and guests who travelled from as far as Argentina in order to not miss it. A day they long for because their wedding was simbolically the end of a five years long distance relationship. I remember the evening we met and they told me their story because I immediately felt a connection. Infact, I too had to commute several thousand miles to see my girlfriend and sometimes only to spend just few days together.
Shooting the wedding
This wedding was technically unique too because it is the only wedding I shot all by myself in years. The low profile of the approach was a perfect match to the day. Because we didm’t have a formal party, we took to downtown Chicago with both families to frame the day in some of the most remarkable and popular landmarks. And because it was a small group it was very easy to swing around from Grant Park to the Art Institute gardens and to the Wrigley building. And Karine couldn’t stop smiling. All day.
Catering was provided by the impeccable Sable Kitchen.

Cocktail hour at the Hotel Palomar is probably one of the best in Chicago because the catering is provided by the local Sable Kitchen.
